American Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Sewer for a local factory. The Industrial Sewer will operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment to manufacture, assemble, or repair products according to company specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have previous sewing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Operate industrial sewing machines and equipment safely and efficiently
- Sew, assemble, and repair products according to specifications and production requirements
- Read and interpret work orders, patterns and production instructions
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials for sewing when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality workmanship
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist with additional production duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Previous industrial sewing experience preferred
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines is highly desirable
- Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands, wrists and fingers
- Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds as needed
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
Hours and Pay - Monday-Friday
- 7:30am-5:00pm
- $17 an hour
