Bookkeeper
Our client, a well-established farm equipment company, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process customer payments and vendor invoices accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and process payroll while maintaining payroll records.
- Generate invoices, monthly financial reports, and other accounting reports as requested.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Track inventory-related purchases and expenses.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal staff regarding billing and account inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Perform general office and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework or related education is a plus.
