We are seeking a Class A or B CDL Driver/Maintenance in Shelley. This position will last for about 6 to 8 weeks. Employee will perform a variety of job responsibilities which may include, equipment & facility maintenance, pump maintenance, electric motor maintenance, vehicle maintenance, blending of fertilizer, production of fire retardant, loading & unloading trucks and railcars. The ideal candidate for this position is someone that has either a Class A or B CDL, diesel mechanic skills, automotive and heavy equipment skills and industrial maintenance skills.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Perform varied duties such as: equipment and plant maintenance including pump and electric motor maintenance, welding, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities; loading and unloading fertilizer and chemicals on and off trucks and railcars; performing warehouse inventory and storage functions.
- Perform routine maintenance on fertilizer barn and load out machinery including elevators, augurs and conveyor belt systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment such as loaders
- Ensure the proper loading and operations of vehicles in compliance with DOT, OSHA and Hazmat regulations.
- May assist with recordkeeping responsibilities on maintenance work completed
- Attend workforce development training as assigned and obtain workforce certifications such as welding, mechanical, electrical or other certifications
- Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects and providing assistance to other roles at the site as needed
Experience & Qualifications: - Class A or B CDL (manual experience)
- Diesel mechanic skills/experience
- Automotive and heavy equipment mechanic skills
- Industrial maintenance skills/experience (auger maintenance, conveyor belt maintenance, agriculture elevator maintenance, etc.)
- Electrician journeyman card and experience
- Pump maintenance skills/experience
- Motor maintenance skills/experience
- Welding certifications and experience
- Plumbing, painting, carpentry or other general handyman maintenance skills
Hours & Pay: - Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
- Saturdays (when needed) 7am-12pm
- $20-$24 DOE
